Sobeys Staff Get in the Spirit of Giving

Patients and visitors to the Aberdeen Hospital on Thursday morning were greeted by a friendly crew offering free parking, hot chocolate, sweets, and candy canes. New Glasgow was one of just six locations in Canada to be treated to a “Magical Wishes” event, courtesy of the staff at Sobeys head office in Stellarton.
In addition to the welcome station in the parking area, a $1,000 donation was made to the Aberdeen Health Foundation for the Women & Children’s Unit at the hospital. According to Katie MacNevin from Sobeys, the event is a chance for the employees to give back to their communities with a focus on enhancing health care for children. The events took place in communities in which Sobeys offices are located.
