A Very McHappy Donation
New Glasgow McDonald’s Store Manager, Michelle Corcoran stopped by to deliver their McHappy Day donation, which took place in May. With the tremendous efforts of the entire staff at the store, they raised $17,435! Exceeding their goal of $15,000 for a pediatric heart monitor. “It was a total team effort, with everyone actively fundraising for about three months leading up to the big day on May 4,” says Michelle.
“We are completely amazed at the efforts of Michelle and all the staff. They more than doubled their fundraising from last year. Because of them and our generous community our hospital now has a brand new heart monitor for our newborns,” says Susan Malcolm of the Aberdeen Health Foundation.
While delivering the donation, Michelle got to see the heart monitor at work. Pictured are: Hilary Amit, Aberdeen Health Foundation Chair; Michelle Corcoran; baby Kit; Debbie MacDonald, Nurse Manager Women & Children’s Unit; and new parents Kaylin and Ryan Leil.
