CAS Funding Applications Now Open
The Aberdeen Health Foundation is now accepting applications for the Children’s Aid Society (CAS) Endowment. The deadline is March 31.
The endowment was created by a gift from the former Children’s Aid Society of Pictou County to provide funding for programs and organizations that are working alleviate risk and promote healthy outcomes for children and families in Pictou County. Applicants may also apply to the CAS Legacy Fund for capital projects that create a lasting tribute honouring the Children’s Aid Society of Pictou County.
In 2015, five community organizations received a total of $95,000 for projects that range from food security to respite services, health and wellness programming and safe, play-rich learning environments.
