Purchase of new Bariatric Scale for Eastside Collaborative Practice

The Aberdeen Health Foundation was pleased to facilitate the purchase of a new bariatric scale for the Eastside Collaborative Practice using funds from the Jim Gogan Medical Equipment Endowment. Now the clinic has a scale for all body types, giving providers the ability to meet the appropriate standard of care for its adiposity program. The program enhances education, self-advocacy and behavioural change for patients working to manage weight and related chronic illnesses.

The Aberdeen Health Foundation is the leading charity for enhancing health care in Pictou County. In 2023 the Foundation invested over $2 million to fund medical equipment and enhance health programs at the Aberdeen Hospital and in our community.
