Home 5 News 5 Applications Now Open for CAS Endowment Funding

The Aberdeen Health Foundation is now accepting applications for the Children’s Aid Society (CAS) Endowment. The deadline is August 15.
The CAS Endowment funds programs that protect children and enhance services and supports for families in Pictou County. Funding is open to charitable and public organizations to deliver programs designed to foster health outcomes for children and youth in Pictou County.
According to the Foundation’s Executive Director, Michelle Ferris, some changes have been made to the application to help organizations better understand the objectives of the funding. “We respect that it takes a good deal of time to develop a thoughtful and thorough proposal. We hope that with the information provided, organizations will be in a better position to determine if their program is a good fit before completing the form.”
The CAS Endowment Fund is for programs that promote healthy child development, and those working to address inequities in healthy development. Programs must target specific physical or mental health outcomes.
The fund also supports organizations seeking to build capacity in the area of healthy child development through training in best practices and evidence based intervention for staff and volunteers.
Approximately $55,000 in total is available, historically shared between several projects.
Information on project eligibility and application forms can be found at aberdeenhealthfoundation.ca/CAS-endowment, or by contacting Kim Martin, at (902) 752-7600 x. 4600.
