Judy's Gift
“My gift to the Aberdeen Health Foundation is for my family, my friends, my neighbours.
I’m just an everyday person – of ordinary, not extraordinary means, but I give what I can every year because I want to pay it forward.
I have friends who are nurses and I know how hard they work. I have been at both ends of the triage line and I have nothing but praise for the care I’ve received. I want to do what I can to make our hospital better for everyone.
I love my community and want to give back, that is why I donate to the Foundation – I feel like I’m touching the whole community.
I leave it to the Foundation to decide wherever they need it. Each year I make my gift in memory of someone who has touched my life – for me, giving in memoriam deepens the meaning of my gift.”
Judy Burton is a retired school teacher, and mother of three, who has been donating to the Aberdeen Health Foundation’s “Area of Greatest Need” for more than 20 years.
